Hello Jolene,

I haven't provided you with an update in a while so here you go...

It has been some time since my last update so, fresh with new pics, I am providing you with all that is new in the world of Samson, my beloved Giant Malamute.

As you may remember, I live in Panama City Beach, FL and very close to the Gulf. I run every morning on the beach, rotating between dogs for such runs (Samson, Lucy my Golden Retriever, and Lilah my chihuahua). I walk them every weekend on the white, sugar sand beaches and it is the highlight of Samson's week. As you can see in the pictures, Samson is a lover of the beach, his "sisters" and all the little kids at Church--or any kids for that matter. He loves people but will not, and I mean will not, tolerate any anger pointed in my direction from man or dog. It has only happened twice but sitll...very memorable. I think the young thugs who aimed their hostility toward me learned that you are never too old to wear diapers!

Samson just came from the vet and he weighed in at a strong 156lbs. What a beast! And that is a very healthy dog who eats very good food with weekend chicken and beef dinners too. I am so utterly pleased with my behemoth of a teddy bear. He is so gentle, so loving, so handsome and so damn big. He is a TOTAL rockstar in Panama City. He has his picture taken daily. Whatever I thought about Malamutes could never have been as great and bewildering as life with one. Even every other Malamute owner I have met has stated how fine a specimen Samson is--and boy oh boy, is he. I refer people often to you (via your website) as Samson is a walking Billboard and everyone wants to know where he came from.

Thanks

Jason   January 2011

Hello Jolene,

I haven't provided you with an update in a while so here you go...

Samson remains the big, great, lovingly fluffy dog he has been since day one. He loves the beach more than anything: running; swimming; and loving on every wide-eyed passerby. He is still just as puppy-ish as always which is his best trait. As you can see in the pics, we have a new addition to the family. A young black and tan chihuahua named Lilah (just seemed appropriate...and biblical). So, Lilah, Lucy and Samson are quite the show at the beach, at the marketplace, park or simply in the back of my truck. She is no fluff dog at all. She runs, plays, swims and gets muddy just like the other dogs. I love em all although, Samson and Lilah create quite the dynamic duo. Samson remains indifferent toward Lilah but Lilah worships the ground he trots on. At the beach she stays RIGHT behind him collecting all of the sand he kicks up, which by the end, she is looking like a sugar-cookie. The pics were taken by a friend and you can see, I can get them all to remain still on cue - most of the time. As always, thanks for your well-bred dog and I am always, always referring you and your website anytime anyone shows interest. Thanks again and God bless.

Sincerely,

Jason   March 2010

Hello Jolene,

Okay, I know it has been quite some time since I sent you any pics but that is because I just never take any. I am not photogenic however, ol' Samson (previously known as Jett) is quite the Ham! He has adjusted so very well to his new environment. He gets sooooo much attention. I actually thought it would never get old talking about him but sometimes....it does. What is he? How much does he weigh? I bet he gets hot. He's BIG! Does he eat alot? And so forth. For the longest time I couldn't figure out why I would experience these strange flashes of light when I was driving my truck at night. I thought it was the Red Light Camera's busting me...but no. It wasn't. It is people taking pics of Samson as they drive by. He is so majestic. He runs on the beach with me daily and he just loves the soft sand and the water. And, if he sees a bird - forget it! He's gone! He swims way out in the water to chase them. He is such a riot. And he is so, so good around people and especially kids. He will roll right on his back for the ladies (I give him treats when he does that). Thanks for breeding such a beautiful species of dogs. I can't stop praising Samson. Well...he does have an affinity for food. Especially, if I leave him alone and there is a pork tenderloin cooling on the range but that's another story...

Sincerely,

Jason   March 25, 2008

Hello Jolene,

Samson (that's what I named Jett) is very well and EVERYONE (most of all me) loves him dearly. I call him my big, clumsy Panda Bear. Lucy, my female Golden put him down on the ground and stood over him, much to my surprise. Samson just submitted to her and they have been playing ever since. I really, really, really love that dog. He ABSOLUTELY LOVES riding in the back of the truck. He gets so much attention when he is back there and standing up so the wind blows at his face. At night I continually get flashes of light from people taking pics of him. Although, it seems NO ONE seems to know what he is...what idiots! Is he a Husky? Is he a Newfoundland? Is he a St Bernard? Once in a great while someone gets it but very, very rarely.

Again, thanks Jolene for breeding such wonderful, wonderful animals. I am really prodding one of my friends to get one but his wife does not want another puppy. I suggested a full-size dog (as you do have some) and he said maybe. If you get another Samson-like size and demeanored dog please email me as that is what he is looking for. He LOVES Samson. Plus, it would give me an excuse to drive up to see your kennels again - except during the day. Anyway, here are some pics of me with Samson the Great. The dog with me is an 80lb German Shepherd, which we USED to think was big. Not anymore.

Much thanks and God bless,

Jason   November 01, 2007

Samson (you may recall seeing him on my available adults page as Jett), is a puppy that I took back and rehomed. He was in a rescue. Never heard from his original owners. Rescue called, I jumped in my truck and picked up this lovely boy. He's very much loved, obviously, in his new home. I always take back my puppies, but would rather the owners call me than hear from rescue. Either way, I take them back!
