Jolene,

Time seems to go by SO fast. It is hard to believe that Kozei is 5 years old now! It seems like it was only yesterday that we came to pick him up and I was able to hold him and he sat on my lap most of the ride back to New Hampshire. Good thing he is a traveling dog.

We moved and have relocated to North Carolina. We like it, but the heat has been dreadful for my guys. They are having an awful time adjusting. Poor Kozei with his woolie coat has been the worst! On advice from his new Vet, I had him shaved. I am sending you some photos. He looks funny and I mourn the loss of that beautiful red coat of hair – but he feels SO much better and is definitely much cooler. He is still a “water baby”, so he swims whenever possible. I see a pool in our near future.

He is still the star wherever we go. People cannot get enough of him and he cannot get enough of the attention – still full of himself. He “poses” for people that are driving by when we are out walking and we have complete strangers come up and ask about him. He is so gentle and sweet and good, there is not a mean bone in his body. He loves anyone and everyone and we get plenty of comments on his disposition as well as his handsomeness. Breeding shows!

We love this big clown.

Hope all is doing well with you and yours,

Jolene,

it just does not seem like he is two years - the time sure does fly by. The big goof is doing well, everyone just loves him. He is the the hit of the party wherever we are. What a joy he is - so lovable. Our neighbor describes him as a "Pomeranian on steroids" because he thinks he is a lap dog, at 130 pounds he is one BIG lap dog.

We tell everyone that you breed for disposition - and in this guy you bred true. He is so easy going, always happy and very social.

The pictures are from his first professional grooming - I have to have help with that coat! I can keep up between, but he goes regularly and it takes three (3) groomers five (5) hours to make him look like that - but he is a handsome boy!

Hope this finds you and your family well.

Jolene,

Well, its been a while - but it has been a busy time! Forgot how much effort a growing puppy requires. We have been just having a great time with our new boy. He had a wonderful winter, with lots of snow to play in and he took FULL advantage of it.

He had a great birthday, was spoiled with treats and new toys and collar. As you can see - he is still a beautiful red color (got that from mom) and he is very "wooly" (must be from dad). One of his many nicknames is the "POOF". All that fur looks funny when he runs, I am still trying to brush most of it out.

Still a water dog, only time I have to keep him on a lead. He just won't listen and will literally "float" downstream, he does not want to come out.

At a year old, he was 117 pounds - solid muscle - and while I don't have a measurement for height the top of his shoulders hit at about my hips - he is a big boy. What a wonderful disposition!! He just wants to play and have fun, not a mean bone in his body. Everyone comments on what a calm and easy going dog he is.

I will get some more photos to you - we will be taking them all camping soon. Hope you and your family are well.

Jolene,

We are doing very well up here in the north country. Kozei is growing like a weed. He fits in very well with my pack and everyone loves him.

Just went to the vet for rabies and distemper - he is just 14 weeks old and a whopping 41 pounds - not fat - all muscle. Sending some new pics - he is a water baby, has already taken up swimming, he loves it and aas you can see I cannot keep him out of any kind of water in the dog yard.

Hope you are well - I will keep you posted on his progress.

Jolene,

Just wanted to let you know how everyone is doing. Kozei is really adapting well. He is very happy here and the "boys" are getting used to him. He has accepted them as his new pack mates. He has no problems with the wheels - they don't bother him and he has learned to avoid being run over during our walks. We took him camping last weekend and he just loved it - once again the hit of the campground. He went swimming - he truly is a water dog. He has no fear and you were quite right - he is "full of himself". He has that Malamute strut down pat.

He has been to the vet for the first set of shots, tomorrow he goes in for the second set. First week he was 18.5 lbs, second week 23.5 lbs. We did heartworm on the 15th (regular schedule at the house) and he was a whopping 28.9 lbs. Steve says that you can watch him grow as he sleeps.

Have some pics for you will send some with this email and the others by another email. Hope all is well
